Through his Relief Gang organization, the Houston rapper has been distributing food, cleaning supplies and other essentials while helping residents clear fallen trees from homes and streets. For residents, nearly two weeks without reliable electricity has meant dealing with damaged homes, fallen trees and the disruption of everyday life. Severe storms with winds reaching up to 100 mph struck Gary on Aug. 11, leaving about 8,600 residents without power nearly two weeks after the storm, according to XXL Magazine.
