Norfolk State Collects Food and Essential Items for Students
Written by Karolyn Hairston on January 14, 2026
In support of the National Day of Service, Norfolk State University is sponsoring a food and essential items pantry drive from Thursday, January 15, through Friday, January 30. Nonperishable food and essential items will be donated to the Norfolk State University Spartan Food Pantry. This year, we’ve added items to support our on-campus Professional Clothes Closet to ensure that students who are in need will have access to professional wear as they engage in experiential learning.
A list of items can be found on this Amazon Wishlist, which is a fast and effective way to donate needed items directly to the Spartan Food Pantry and Professional Clothes Closet wherever you might be located. If you’d like to donate gently used items to the Professional Clothes Closet, please make sure they are dry cleaned before dropping off.
Items can be dropped off at the Melvin & Patricia Stith Alumni House or shipped to the following address:
Melvin & Patricia Stith Alumni House
2426 Corprew Avenue
Norfolk, VA 23504
For additional details, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at (757) 823-8135 or the RCN Honors College at honors@nsu.edu.
