PEACE Week to help keep Portsmouth students engaged during spring break!
“So instead of A Purpose Driven doing PEACE Week, now there’s really 22 people who have the responsibility to take this and manifest it so we can now do more in the city,” Copeland said. “I went to the Chief [Stephen Jenkins] and Portsmouth United with PEACE Week, and all of us started to work and was meeting every week. That’s how it came about. It’s important because, it takes a village, it takes more than just one organization or one purpose, or one entity, to make a difference in our city. We have so much work to do in our city with violence, our youth and the needs of our citizens.”
