Norfolk State University Foundation – 5K Run/Walk – April 12th

In celebration of National Public Health Week, April 7-12, 2025, the Norfolk State University Foundation, Inc. will host a 5K Run/Walk at NSU’s Dick Price Stadium to raise $60,000 to support Norfolk State University students. The run/walk will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, and serve as the kickoff event for NSU’s university-wide participation in the American Public Health Association’s initiative. Throughout the week, NSU will recognize the contributions of public health and highlight issues that are important to improving our nation. There will also be a Health and Wellness Expo that day from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to offer valuable health information.
- Register: Create your team and don’t forget to make a self-donation. Register and donate before March 15, 2025, to ensure you receive your participation giveaways prior to the run/walk.
- Recruit: Invite family, friends, and co-workers to join your team as walkers, runners, and fundraisers.
- Fundraise: Set a team fundraising goal and talk with your team members about your expectations and how you will achieve this goal.
- Engage: Ask your personal networks to financially support you with a donation.
- Activate: Download the app and Join Just Move, our virtual race platform, to participate in our flex-time race from your community.
- Participate: Join the Spartan Nation at NSU’s Dick Price Stadium on Saturday, April 12, 2025, for the 5K run/walk and Health and Wellness Expo.

The Norfolk State University Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit fundraising corporation established to support quality education and to generate private financial support for the academic development of the University.
