Syrian rebel group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham(HTS) has made significant mili gains, shifting the frontlines of Syria’s long running civil war. In one week, HTS, launched a rapid advance from its strongholds in the northwest countryside, seizing control of key areas that had been under Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s rule for years.
