Hampton Roads Back To School Dates ’24-’25

August means back to school for a lot of students in Hampton Roads now that most divisions have moved start dates before the Labor Day holiday. So start rolling back bedtime and get those supplies ready.

The list includes the first day of school for each district:

Chesapeake: Sept. 3

Hampton: Aug. 26

Newport News: Aug. 26

Norfolk: Aug. 19

Portsmouth: Aug. 26

Suffolk: Aug. 26

Virginia Beach: Aug. 26

Williamsburg-James City County: Aug. 26
