A Recall of 10 Million Pounds of Meat Affects Products Sold at Walmart, Trader Joe’s and Other Stores

Nearly 10 million pounds of product from pre-cooked meat producer BrucePac has been recalled. BrucePac found evidence of listeria monocytogenes in ready-to-eat poultry. Listeriosis is a food-borne bacterial infection that can be dangerous or life-threatening to older adults, people with weak immune systems and pregnant people. Symptoms of a listeriosis infection include fever, diarrhea, headache, muscle aches and more.
